A few minutes before 3 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot while driving his car by a pedestrian who fled on foot. David Juarez, a Hollywood resident who was driving southbound on <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=santa+monica+and+st+andrews+place,+hollywood,+ca&sll=34.091762,-118.309193&sspn=0.034545,0.077162&gl=us&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Santa+Monica+Blvd+%26+N+St+Andrews+Pl,+Los+Angeles,+California+90038&ll=34.090767,-118.311338&spn=0.034545,0.077162&z=14" target="_blank">St. Andrews Place towards Santa Monica Boulevard</a>, crashed into oncoming traffic before his vehicle came to a rest across the busy boulevard, according to police.</p> <p>Two LAPD officers responding to the incident <a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/06/two-lapd-officers-injured.html" target="_blank">were struck by a vehicle as they headed</a> to the scene. They, along with Juarez, were transported to the hospital. The cyclist was traveling northbound when they collision occurred.
